That is the hardware controller for the drive. It is the one screwed directly to the drive and most of the time has a small flat cable from the board to the drive itself. I couldn't tell from the image you posted, but I think there is a plastic piece where the blue light is that looks like it could be removed.
Those two connectors will connect to the dock.
